Please do not upload images in the GIF format

Hello and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that you've uploaded a couple of images in the GIF format. In the future, please save GIF images in the PNG format before converting (see Wikipedia:Preparing images for upload). PNG images almost always have a smaller file size, which decreases the amount of time they take to load. There are a bunch of other advantages to the PNG format such as lossless compression that you can read about on its Wikipedia article. ---Remember the dot 03:49, 2 January 2007 (UTC)

Image tagging for Image:Mary Morris.PNG

Thanks for uploading Image:Mary Morris.PNG. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Welcome to schools

This is not a bot message. I see you are intersted in S.African schools. Brilliant! Nearly all the schools are Australian, US or UK ... some other countries should be represented. Need help then ... Victuallers 19:28, 20 June 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:VictoriatheGreat.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:VictoriatheGreat.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ShakespeareFan00 19:39, 22 June 2007 (UTC)

Notability of Pauline Vogelpoel

A tag has been placed on Pauline Vogelpoel, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Jauerback 14:56, 17 July 2007 (UTC)

I removed the speedy after you added more information. Jauerback 15:06, 17 July 2007 (UTC)

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have perfomed a web search with the contents of Hubert du Plessis, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.stellenboschwriters.com/duplessish.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot 07:25, 23 August 2007 (UTC)

Based on your being a participant in the Dance WikiProject and being "interested in writing biographies of classical ballet dancers", I figured you might be interested in joining the discussion at Talk:Agnes DeMille on whether the article should be moved back to Agnes de Mille from Agnes DeMille. Margaret Elsworth

Hi, and thanks for reverting to what you thought was the right spelling on this article. However 'humorous', far from being an Americanisation, is actually the correct spelling worldwide. See User:Spellmaster for details. Best wishes, --John 22:15, 29 September 2007 (UTC)

I see - in this case theya re references, and should be marked as such. Could you please make them references? This way they do not become "spam". Actually, I ended there because of this link; did you use that as a reference too? --Legionarius (talk) 18:13, 18 December 2007 (UTC)
